Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Her Weight Loss Journey
Kelly Clarkson is not one to shy away from discussing the highs and lows of her recent weight loss journey. The multi-talented singer, known for hits like “Since U Been Gone,” has had a whirlwind fall season as she returned for the fifth season of her talk show. Alongside the move to a new studio and a cross-country move, she also embarked on a weight loss journey.
During a recent episode of her show, Clarkson welcomed Jenna Bush Hager and her twin sister Barbara Bush as guests. The trio discussed various topics, including their childhood experiences with weight. Clarkson jokingly mentioned that she has had many stages when it comes to her weight.
The conversation took an interesting turn when Jenna lamented about no longer fitting into her sister’s clothes. This prompted Clarkson to disclose that even she struggles with finding clothes that fit well. Specifically, she mentioned the difficulty of finding jeans that flatter her figure.
Jenna then offered to take Clarkson shopping for jeans, but the singer admitted that shopping is not something she enjoys. Jokingly, Jenna suggested sending jeans instead, similar to what she does for Hoda Kotb. Clarkson found this idea amusing and light-heartedly described it as a “first world problem.”
While Kelly Clarkson hasn’t publicly addressed her recent weight loss in detail, back in 2018, she credited Steven R. Gundry’s book, “The Plant Paradox,” for inspiring changes in her diet.
Clarkson’s openness about her weight loss journey reflects her authentic approach to sharing both the struggles and successes along the way. Despite being in the public eye, she isn’t afraid to discuss relatable challenges when it comes to body image and finding clothes that fit well.
