A woman from Oregon has shared her tips for losing weight while still enjoying your favorite foods. Natalie Arnell, who successfully shed 15 pounds in just three months, achieved this through the viral 75 Hard Challenge, which is a strict 75-day lifestyle program developed by entrepreneur Andy Frisella.
Arnell’s journey to weight loss involved maintaining a calorie deficit, drinking a gallon of water each day, reading 10 pages of a book, and completing two 45-minute workouts (one of which was outdoors) every single day for almost 11 weeks. She documented her progress on TikTok under the handle @getfittwithnatt.
One of Arnell’s key recommendations for those looking to make healthier choices without undertaking the rigorous program is to create “healthier versions of your favorite foods at home” instead of dining out or ordering takeout. By doing this, you have control over the quality of ingredients used. Arnell shares that she prepared meals primarily consisting of seafood or steak, vegetables, and carbs like rice. However, she still allowed herself to indulge in healthier homemade versions of her cravings such as pizza and French toast. Importantly, she highlights that she had dessert daily but still managed to lose weight.
Another tip offered by Arnell is to cut down on alcohol consumption. As alcohol is forbidden on the 75 Hard Challenge due to its high-calorie content and tendency for people not to stop at just one drink, she focused on increasing her water intake instead.
Lastly, Arnell emphasizes the importance of getting at least 30 minutes of movement every day. While she completed two workouts per day during the challenge, one of them always involved a walk outside. She stresses that walking daily should not be underestimated and shares that it played a significant role in her transformation.
Arnell concludes by stating that participating in the 75 Hard Challenge positively changed her life and made her realize that achieving her desired body was possible without suffering. It took her three years to discover that preparing her favorite foods at home, incorporating daily walks, low-impact workouts, and drinking plenty of water could help her achieve her dream body. She wants others to know that they can still enjoy pizza or their preferred indulgences while on their weight loss journey.
Natalie Arnell’s story is both inspiring and practical, offering achievable tips for those looking to lose weight in a sustainable and enjoyable way. By following her advice of making healthier versions of favorite meals, cutting down on alcohol consumption, and prioritizing regular movement, individuals can take control of their own health and achieve their fitness goals.
